December 10th 2011 - A new creature design i've been working on for Mike Corriero's 'Painted Marsh Ungulate' competition, I hope you like it! I'll be back in the new year xSeptember 29th 2011 - A lot has been happening! I turned 22 and have begun my first class with the Academy of Art University, doing the class online - I had my doubts about this way of learning, but I have to say, it's BRILLIANT! Learning loads and hopefully improving my skills massively, so... keep your eyes peeled :) Have been doing a few more commissions here and there, and all this as well as working full time... I can't wait until I can do art all day.July 30th 2011 - A new painting added to the gallery today! A bird commission which has taken soooo long. Turns out feathers are pretty hard to paint! Been very busy at work recently so haven't produced anything else, but have been sketching a lot and learning anatomy in preparation for starting classes with the Academy of Art in September :)May 25th 2011 - My tiger sculpt was shown on the BBC's 'Show Me The Monet' show! Very exciting to see my work on the TV :) More of that, please! Doing quite a few commissions at the moment, varying from a massive painting in oils to a big logo and CD/DVD cover design job. Loving it!May 22nd 2011 - I've been doing a lot of sketches and been working on a massive painting commission, which I will post up as soon as it's finished! :) It's taking over my house with the smell of oil paint... I've also been jewellery making! Some pieces will be up for sale via DIBBS&DIBBS in the near future, so keep an eye out.May 2nd 2011 - After several requests, I now have a prints shop up and running! I will also be selling some originals via the shop in the future. Please have a look and if there's any pieces you've had your eye on, now is the time to own it for yourself! PRINTS SHOP. I'd also like to say a massive thank you for the overwhelming response from my first newsletter - your encouragement and support is not only appreciated but it fuels my drive to keep creating. So thank you very much :) xApril 16th 2011 - Wow, after a lot of work, my new partnership company is up and running! DIBBS&DIBBS is a new crafts company specialising in unique handmade gifts and homeware, such as cool mirrors and trinket boxes! It's good :) But lots and lots of new things to learn.February 28th 2011 - I've been very busy trying to learn ZBrushand get my head around the multitude of concepts regarding 3D work... and i've added the result of the past two days of hell (well...) to the digital art section :)February 26th 2011 - Update of my latest painting thing :) It's an experiment combining 3D and a lottttt of painting... Check it out! :) xJanuary 19th 2011 - New sign-up form at the bottom left down there - If you like my work, please add your email for updates, exhibitions, discounts, etc :) I've re-done the Photography page a bit, it was getting weird before...January 16th 2011 - Happy New Year one and all! Just got back from my first skiing trip and am pleased to announce that all my limbs are still intact. Always a good thing. A new little update bottom right of the painting i've been working on for ages (it's only a very small section of the piece... Look at my sculpture work and you'll get the idea ;) ) and also i'm trying my hand at making 3D content...This is a character i've hand-textured, etc... I'm also extremely excited to have started a course in ZBrush, so expect MUCH more of that :) December 21st 2010 - Wishing you all a very merry Christmas and a happy New Year :) A little preview of a small section of my current work-in-progress to the left there ;) Final piece coming soon! xOctober 30th 2010 - Happy Hallowe'en everyone! I've been working on a new piece filled with creatures, so I hope you like it - I will upload a preview when I can.October 22nd 2010 - AHH my work got featured on the FXPose section of the disc in ImagineFX (issue 63/December 2010) ! - See which three pieces they chose and read a little bit about them. I'm thrilled :)August 29th 2010 - I got awarded a Daily Deviation on DeviantArt!!! :) (For those those who don't know what that is, i've been longing for one for 6 years) It was for my Pandora's Box exhibition piece, which you can see here. So happy! Also some more exciting news on the way tba soon.Hey... It's my 21st birthday on Wednesday 1st September! Lots planned for the next year...August 23rd 2010 - New image added, pin-up style burlesque sort of thing rendered in 3D for a birthday card (text was different!)August 11th 2010 - I've finally been teaching myself ZBrush :) I'm really enjoying it, although digital 3D is completely new to me. Follow the progress of my first creature sculpt here.July 18th 2010 - Did a 3 hour practice portrait digital study piece thing... I've now started another digital piece to practice close-up skin work etc.June 9th 2010 - I just found a review of my website here - random, but nice! I've been working on my current digital painting for a bit this week and last, it's coming on slowly but surely... Also added a new retouched image to the gallery today.May 27th 2010 - Prints, canvases, postcards, mugs etc available now! At long last, i've finally got some of my work up for sale. Knock yourself out :) PRINTS SHOPI've also been trying to get back into oil painting - here's a quick one I did on the 25th of the one and only Lady Gaga.May 7th 2010 - I'm currently spending a lot of my free time working on my rather vast side project, of which i've showcased nothing so far - i'm intending to make an art book from the complete body of work and use it as my concept art portfolio. I love creating all kinds of art, from traditional to digital, and also performance. I first started painting with acrylics, followed by oils and have recently been exploring digital art, sculpture and prosthetics. I am also currently designing for a new crafts company called DIBBS&DIBBS which specialises in stained glass. I'm working full time in an office job as well as doing the odd painting/logo/website commission here and there. I would love to work creatively in the film industry; whilst i'm building up my portfolio and experimenting with my work, i'm teaching myself 3D modelling. I also do a bit of acting for film & tv. I feel I have come a long way with my work in the past couple of years, but that I have a long way to go still - a daunting yet exciting prospect. As of September 2011, i've begun classes with Academy of Art university (online classes) and am deciding whether to build this into an Illustration degree.
